John Gillies RICS FRICS

John is a Chartered Building Surveyor and started his career in the West End of London in the early 1970’s with Herring Son and Daw, moving to the National Building Agency, part of the Housing Corporation, under Lord Goodman.

In the late 1970’s he joined Calder Ashby, then the larges firm of Building Surveyors in the world, and was responsible for refurbishment of a portion of Islington funded by Government.

In the early 1980’s he joined Conrad Ritblat to hone commercial skills and specialised in dilapidations and construction monitoring. After a brief spell with Countrywide Surveyors as an associate , John set up his firm with a colleague in 1986 and this firm developed to become the present firm of Johnson Gillies.

Since then John has been in control of the development of the firm and also provides reports and service in his areas of expertise.
John is married with four children and several animals. Now a grand father, he is a member of Royal Dart Yacht Club and Thorpe bay Yacht Club, where he regularly sails with his wife.

Johnathon Gillies BSc (Hons) MFPWS

Johnathon started his career with Johnson Gillies in 1997 and qualified through the University of Greenwich sponsored by the Chartered Surveyors Training Trust. He also holds HNC in Construction and is a Member of the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors.

He became part of Malcolm Hollis during his training and then joined PSK Prout Tillbrook in Londons West End, before rejoining Johnson Gillies in 2007.

He and his wife Natalie have recently had a beautiful baby boy born 25th April 2008.

Outside of work Johnathon enjoys sailing, windsurfing and cricket.

Trevor Howe MRICS

Trevor started his career with Humberts, Chartered Surveyors, and after nine years, moved to Slade Parry Ltd. Trevor joined  Johnson Gillies in 2007 and has developed our surveying services.

Trevor is well qualified in technical issues and holds HNC  Building Studies (Building Surveying Options ) and is a Member of the Royal  Institution of Chartered Surveyors . He has also taken additional courses of study on Elmhurst SAP Energy Assessors course and British Occupational Health Society Proficiency Certificate P402 Building Surveys and Bulk sampling for Asbestos (Passed written & practical assessment, preparing reports for assessment).
Trevor’s  experience  is varied and adds maturity to our team.

Ian Hodgson BSc (Hons)

Ian joined Johnson Gillies as a trainee and has progressed through the Chartered Surveyors Training Trust and is now a Graduate in Building Surveying.

Ian has considerable experience in computer aided design and his own design skills are put to good use with innovative schemes and imaginative use of materials.

Jessica Gillies BA (Hons)

After successfully completing a degree in Business, Jessica is currently working towards an MSc Logistics and Optimisation qualification.

Jessica is a young officer in training with the Southampton and Portsmouth Royal Naval Unit. She also enjoys horse riding, sailing, hockey, netball and going to the gym.
